Hi, Matt,
sorry to bother you again.
When running exp0, I have tried your method by only adding "exf" in file
packages.conf.
But it doesn't work when compiling the code, and the error message is
like:

g77 -Wimplicit -Wunused -Wuninitialized -O3 -funroll-loops -c
exf_clim_init.f
cat exf_clim_readparms.F | ../../../tools/set64bitConst.sh | cpp
-traditional -P -D_BYTESWAPIO -DWORDLENGTH=4 -DHAVE_SYSTEM -DHAVE_FDATE
-DHAVE_ETIME -DHAVE_CLOC -DHAVE_STAT -I. > exf_clim_readparms.f
<stdin>:29: cal.h: No such file or directory
make: *** [exf_clim_readparms.f] Error 1

I have checked the file exf_clim_readparms.f, and it seems no difference
with the same file generated in exp global_with_exf, which runs well.
