Hi Amitabh,

A tar file of checkpoint53 is now available at:

  http://mitgcm.org/download/MITgcm-c53.tar.gz

And since I don't currently have access to any HP-UX (PA-RISC) machines
(such as your model 9000/785), I can't verify that we have any working
options files ("optfiles") for genmake2. I suggest that you do one of
the following:

  1) Read the genmake2 directions at:

       http://mitgcm.org/sealion/online_documents/node92.html

and then create a custom "optfile" for your platform by
starting with one of the existing optfiles such as:

       MITgcm/tools/build_options/linux_ia32_g77

  2) Give me an account on your machine and I can readily
     create an optfile for you.

If you choose Option #1, then please take a few moments to email your
optfile back to this list. It would be nice to have configuration info
for MITgcm on HP-UX machines.

Good luck!
Ed
