[MITgcm-support] tracer acceleration

Samar,

Only asynchronous acceleration has been implemented. If you want to
implement the deep acceleration it requires making deltaT* a function of
depth or otherwise multiply deltaT* by a function of depth where it is used.
Deep acceleration is utterly non-conservative so implement at your own risk!

Subject: [MITgcm-support] tracer acceleration

Hello

Can someone please tell me if the "distorted physics"
technique of Bryan (i.e., use of unequal time steps in tracer and momentum,
especially in the deep ocean) has been implemented in the MIT model?

If so, how do I go about using it?

Thanks very much

Samar
