[MITgcm-support] _exch_r8 question

Hi Samar,

 The exchange routines don't touch points in the interior (except in
adjoint mode).

 However, I have seen bugs elsewhere to do with array sizes and
dimensions or real*4 v. real*8 causing overwrites that make it look like
that exch routines are writing to interior points.
