Hi Amitabh,

I'm not familiar with the sea-ice parts of the code but I'm certain that
we can get the model to build and run on an HP-UX system. For the
latest version of the code (current in CVS), all we need to create is an
"options file" similar to the ones at:

  http://mitgcm.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/MITgcm/tools/build_options/

which are described in our on-line manual at:

  http://mitgcm.org/sealion/online_documents/node90.html
  http://mitgcm.org/sealion/online_documents/node92.html

Two ways to do that are:

  1) take one of the existing options files and modify it
to work on your system ("linux_ia32_g77" is probably
     a good starting point), or

  2) let me have an account on your system and I'll create
a usable options file for you!

Ed
