Wilbert,

 The tauCD parameter is the time scale on which the D grid supplementary
equations are pulled to the C grid primary equations. With
tauCD=deltatMom the D eqn's are pulled to the C terms in one timestep.
Typically the timescale that is appropriate when the CD scheme is needed
is around the interial period i.e. somewhere between 1 day and 3 days
for a global ocean simulation.
