Jean-Michel,

I am merging some of my changes with AIM stuff - includes
merging with your
changes listed below. Let me know if you are still
doing things on these or other AIM/AIM interface stuff.

>>>>>>> JMC RECENT CHANGES <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Update of /u/gcmpack/models/MITgcmUV/verification/aim.5l_LatLon/code
In directory
orwell:/scratch2/jmc/pre38out/verification/aim.5l_LatLon/code

Modified Files:
      Tag: pre38
        aim_do_atmos_physics.F
Log Message:
modify the mapping between C-grid (Dynamics) and A-grid (Physics):
o aim physics needs only the square of the surface wind
and returns a DRAG term (=Cd*|V|).
o the surface stress is computed directly on the C-grid using the
   average DRAG term
give positive Q to the physics (=> conserve H2O) and set Salt=0 in the
stratosphere (=> break H2O conservation)

f /u/gcmpack/models/MITgcmUV/verification/aim.5l_LatLon/code
In directory
orwell:/scratch2/jmc/pre38out/verification/aim.5l_LatLon/code

Modified Files:
      Tag: pre38
        AIM_DDT.h
Log Message:
add a global array to exchange the DRAG term before computing the
surface stress

Update of /u/gcmpack/models/MITgcmUV/verification/aim.5l_LatLon/code
In directory
orwell:/scratch2/jmc/pre38out/verification/aim.5l_LatLon/code

Added Files:
      Tag: pre38
        phy_convmf.F
Log Message:
modify Q flux to be consistent with Mass Flux limiter :
==> reduce occurence of negative Q in the 2nd (from surf) level

In directory

Modified Files:
      Tag: pre38
        aim_external_forcing.F
Added Files:
      Tag: pre38
        com_physvar.h phy_driver.F phy_suflux.F
Log Message:

fixe a Pb of overlap/exchange in aim_external_forcing U&V.
