Carl/Rui etc....
Everything is open-source and available from the public CVS repository
under http://mitgcm.org.
Aside from TAF the other system software requirements are
Fortran compiler
C compiler
Unix/Linux like OS
Matlab is widely used and very useful for post-processing and analysis
etc...
