dimitris,
is it too hard to just check in the _d's now? if you can do that
we don't have to have the messiness persist.
btw - the lab sea code always used to have issues with
open boudaries and undefined overlap regions. not sure
whether anyone ever fixed that.

Subject: lab-sea high sensitivity
Jean-Michel, you are right about the _d's.
By adding a few _d's to growth.F and to dynsolver.F, the
discrepancy between the g77 and SGI lab_sea tests is further reduced to:
Y Y Y Y 8 10 9 12 10 9 11 13 10 9 8 8 9 8 9 8 9 FAIL lab_sea
For comparison, the release1_p8 discrepancy is:
Y Y Y Y 5 5 7 7 7 8 10 9 6 6 6 6 7 5 7 5 7 FAIL lab_sea
and the discrepancy after removing the "-r8" SGI f77 flag is:
Y Y Y Y 7 9 7 9 8 8 10 11 8 8 7 7 8 7 7 7 8 FAIL lab_sea
I'll make sure to include _d's in next release of sea-ice package.
D.
