Tom and Curt, I have checked-in a version of pkg/seaice that
works with pkg/exf (tag release1_p10 on branch release1, and
tag checkpoint47f_post on the main branch).
The sea-ice code can be:
1) integrated in stand-alone mode as before,
2) receive atmospheric state from pkg/exf and use
pkg/seaice open-water bulk formulae,
3) receive both atmospheric state and open-water
surface flux estimates from pkg/exf.
Options 1) and 2) are fully tested and give identical results.
Option 3) appears to produce sensible-looking results, but it
remains experimental and I would use it with caution.
Experiments 1, 8, and 9 in the verification/lab_sea/README file
are example-configurations for each of the three options.
