Partly overlapping with yours:

- Define global 4x4 deg. setup (exp2 and/or carbon),
  I guess, according to Stephanie's setup
- Include changes related to adding exact volume conserv.
  and shapiro filter to adjoint
- A few bug fixes for adjoint and updates to work
  on IBM SP3
- Possibly new mod.'s related to entropy cost function
  (those aren't many) in Adam's H/S setup.
