Armin did build in your ice model into our GIN Sea version of the ECCO model. 
Over the next weeks we will try to run it in forward and subsequently in 
backward mode with ice. Ideally I also would like to run the global 50yr run 
with ice. But we have to see how predictable the system will be and how 
expensive the extra ice part is. But the test with the GIN Sea model will 
hopefully give us all the required experience for the global runs. One 
possibility will be to use only a thermodynamic version and then only in the 
forward component.
