Hi Tor,

re. ii):
Yes, checkpoint40pre4 (onwards) includes a passive tracer field
(cf. the header file model/inc/TR1.h )
You may enable it by setting the CPP option
#define ALLOW_PASSIVE_TRACER in CPP_OPTIONS.h
Hope it works. I've only used it in conjunction with
AUTODIFF so far, so there may be some CPP options mismatch.
But I don't think there's a mismatch.
