Hi Armin/Arne,

 When Detlef was here last week he was saying that you had some
concerns about ease of use with the MITgcm/ECCO codes. Could you
be a bit more specific? Patrick, Alistair and I are giving some
thought to release design for MITgcm and the ECCO environment.
It would be a big help to have some feedback on the
current design(s). 

 If you can be as specific as possible about problems you have had
that would be a big help, as well as making suggestions as to what
design
improvements would have helped you deal with those problems. Don't 
worry we won't take it personally.
