[Mitgcm-support] W output after restart

I've just discovered an error in Release 1 which 
wasn't there in the last version of the code I tried 
this particular diagnostic on (probably c27). 
When I do a restart, the W output written at the restart time is
identically 
zero. This happens on both my own SGI and the SGI supercomputers, 
and occurs with and without globalfiles on. Other fields are 
all ok. Everything after that proceeds correctly - W is not 
being set to zero, just zeros are being written out at that 
single time. My calculations are all nonhydrostatic. 
Any ideas?
