I notice there is at least two places where you keep package kpp.
/u/u0/gcmpack/models/MITgcmUV/pkg/kpp and
/u/u0/gcmpack/packages/kpp
is there a master and a slave?  Do both need to be modified?

Zhangfan has set up cvs so that we can use the option :pserver:
in the CVSROOT variable.  This means you can login and work from
any location.  I guess you can't do same because of ssh or
security reasons?
