[Mitgcm-support] Porting code to IBM p690

Hi folks, 

I'm trying to port the code to the BU 
IBM p690, since the Origin shuts down at the 
end of the month. First time I've run the model
on anything other than an origin. 

I tried to do genmake as follows:

MITgcm-r1p8/bin % ../tools/genmake
-mods=../verification/internal_wave/code -mpi

and I got the following error:

Error: platform not recognized: uname -p =  AIX+mpi

The operating system is AIX 5.1L. 

Any ideas how to proceed?
