I tried looking for a previous email where Chris wrote out
some formats for tag names but couldn't find it becuase
there are so many messages of the form "models/MITgcmUV/model/src' CVS Commit".
Do we really have to have these on the news server?

pre38tag1 is fine with me but I don't know whether it's in the
suggested format - ask Chris or find the earlier email.
