pre40 has problems on the new SUNs in ini_spherical_polar_grid.F. It seems the optimizer is fusing loops where it shouldn't. I've added ini_spherical_polar_grid.F to the NOOPTFILES in genmake. I find it troubling that the compiler can make such a mess. A.
