When you write temporary checkpoint files 
(e.g. pickup.ckpt[A,B].data) 
the nonhydrostatic checkpoint file is created in 
permanent form (e.g. pickup_nh.[timestep].data)
instead of temporary form (e.g. pickup_nh.ckpt[A,B].data).
