Sorry, I should have clarified,
The testreport should work with the new optfile AND the new list of modules to load (but I tested it on a couple of experiments with useMNC=TRUE).
BTW, didn't you get an error message with this line?
module load comp-intel/2016.2.181 mpi-sgi/mpt.2.14r19 netcdf/4.4.1.1_serial

Hi David,

Latest testreport on pleiades fail to run (likely because of this
modification) with this error:
> ./mitgcmuv: error while loading shared libraries: libnetcdf.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
But I did not update the list of modules to load (was not clear to me from the
cvs-check-in message), still using the previous list:
 module load comp-intel/2016.2.181 mpi-sgi/mpt.2.14r19 netcdf/4.4.1.1_serial

Will try with updated module list.
