This would be the default license if no license is provided:
http://choosealicense.com/no-license/
"...nobody else may reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from
your work."
I'm pretty sure this is not what we want. Many of our practices are already
in violation of it. The owner of MITgcm (whoever that is) would have the
right to sue anyone who downloads and uses the source code for copyright
infringement!
