Hi Patrick,

You removed the stop (if implicitDiffusion and ALLOW_DEPTH_CONTROL)
but you did not put back the vertical implicit diffusion code in 
thermodynamics.F (disabled with #ifndef ALLOW_DEPTH_CONTROL).

It looks like we can safely put back this part in thermodynamics.F
(I think I was having some major recomputations when I tried
 in December last year, but now they are gone), but may be you 
already tested this.

Anyway, I am going to make these changes (in thermodynamics.F) and
remove completly the commented stop in config_check.F
