Hi An,

Can tou susbscribe to the MITgcm-cvs list (I did not see your email
address in the list of subscribed users) so that
when you check-in something to the CVS repository, the
message is sent (right now, admin receive notice of a 
pending message).
I think it's part of the criptic (as Patrick describe it) info
in the How-to document (sec 3.3).
