[MITgcm-devel] seaice pickup

Hi there,

I have a question
(maybe too lazy to look into the code):

Is there a way to start a run that uses EVP
from a pickup that has been produced using LSR?
I am trying to do this, and model crashes
("The READ statement on the file pickup_seaice.0000000001.data cannot  
be completed because the end of the file was reached.")

I realize it is not a clean a 1+1=2 type of pickup.
Since my run crashed, I reckon I'll have to comment some lines in
S/R seaice_read_pickup.

I'd think it should be possible to start from a spinup
that was generated using one solver with a run that uses another,
so maybe add an option?

Btw., I am already using a pickup from an old version, so am using
  pickupStrictlyMatch=.FALSE.
