[MITgcm-devel] ALLOW_SMOOTH3D

Hi Gael,

I am using the standard smooth2 package you made.  This runs fine for  
my small set-up, but crashes my larger (SOSE) setup when I define
ALLOW_SMOOTH_CORREL3D and ALLOW_SMOOTH3D.  The model runs for  
nchklev_1*nchklev_2*nchklev_3 < 1000, but for more than that it  
crashes.  (I can crash it by increasing either level 1 or 2.)  And  
when I say crashes, I mean stalls -- so I get no error message.  I  
assume it is a memory thing - and perhaps related to the storing in  
smooth_diff3D.F

Any ideas?
