Please don't reply to the MITgcm-cvs list.
Concerning the "=" sign, Holy told me it is not needed in FFLAGS. I'm 
not using
these flags myself, I copied them from Patrick's Pleiades optfile (the 
one that was
removed last week).
I suggest that people who use these flags sort it out and check in a new 
version.
