Hi David,

I fixed a few things in this verif.,
one of which was related to my changes yesterday (TAF -nonew_arg).
When I try to run it on ross or weddell I am getting a weird crash

apparent state: unit 9 named Err_levitus_15layer.bin
lately reading sequential unformatted external IO
Abort

This problem does *not* occur on faulks.
So looks like some compiler-dependent piece of code.
