Jean-Michel, thank you for feedback and sorry for using clumsy terminology.  I 
will leave verification/salt_plume as it is then and will change 
verification/seaice_obcs after I find out what you guys decided to do about 
landmask in your (secret) deliberations earlier today.

Regarding "sensitivity" of lab_sea experiments, one possible contributing factor 
is interactions between sea ice and mixed-layer temperature, the term that is 
enclosed by inAdMode in seaice_growth.F.  One way to reduce the sensitivity due 
to this term is to use parameter SEAICE_gamma_t, which is the relaxation time 
scale of SST to freezing point.
