This is the culprit:
IcePenetratingShortwaveFluxFraction
It's 35 characters long, and I think 32 are allowed by some standard  
(F90?, certainly not F77, because that was 8char as far as I  
remember). And it's really long: the declaration does not even fit on  
one line. I suggest reducing the name to  
IcePenetratingShortwaveFluxFrac or IcePenetratingSWFluxFrac something  
like that.
