I have not tried but am guessing that it should not be a problem. There may be some very small initial transients in the velocity but should adjust very quickly to new mask and grid. All the tracer quantities share the same location, i.e., center of grid. What is a little bit more problematic is switching to multi-category ice and to sea ice salinity since the pickup files differ ... soon to be fixed with JM's help, I hope. D.

Hi there,
any experience as to what happens if
I restart in a C-grid seaice dynamics config.
from a pickup that has been generated on the B-grid?
Thanks
