[MITgcm-devel] seaice and exch

Hi there,

in an effort to setup an idealized test domain for the sea ice  
packages I have come across a small problem:

I have Nr=1, for just a slab ocean and I get the following error  
message:
S/R EXCH_RL: myNZ  .GT. MAX_NR_EXCH
S/R EXCH_RL: myNZ  .GT. MAX_NR_EXCH
S/R EXCH_RL: myNZ  .GT. MAX_NR_EXCH
S/R EXCH_RL: myNZ  .GT. MAX_NR_EXCH

I guess, the reason is that in pkg/seaice the 3-D fields are  
exchanged with the third dimension=3, while the "generic" third  
dimension is Nr=1.

What can we do about it (other that finally getting rid of all these  
weird 3-level fields).
