[MITgcm-devel] problem with SEAICEadvSnow

I am not sure right now, if I routinely use snow advection with the  
default advection scheme. It only works for backward Euler (not  
Leapfrog, because there is not storage of previous HSNOW time  
levels). I cannot remember having any problems with my 2deg model

However, I normally use advection scheme 1 (1st order upwind) and not  
diffusion (DIFF1 = 0.)

Why should the snow get unstable and the ice not, they usually have  
similar distributions (in my case).
