[MITgcm-devel] pickups: mdsio and mnc with unorthodox fields

Hi,
so I carried out this test, and set the second and third time leve to
2 after reading the pickup file, and the pickup still works, that is
only the first time level of UICE/VICE/HEFF/AREA is needed in the
pickup file. What should we do about it? I am pretty sure that
simplifying this piece of the code will upset your runs and who knows
whose. It is probably best to leave it as it is.

I have decide, that I am not up to implementing mnc pickups for the
seaice package, I had a look at pkg/land/land_mnc_init.F and that put
me off. It's probably not that important, just convenient.
