Hi,
I have now checked in my c-grid version of the dynamics of the seaice- 
pkg.

It cannot do fully orthogonal curvilinear coordinates, but it does  
spherical coordinates (as does the b-grid version) and cartesian  
coordinates (hopefully right). I have not yet applied any masking in  
terms of cubed sphere corners, so that the exchanges at these corners  
are likely to break.

The system seems to work fine with me (I ran it for 80 years and no  
crash, so far). Maybe someone else, you is using the seaice model can  
try it out, too? (Turn on the C-grid version by specifying the CPP  
flag SEAICE_CGRID in SEAICE_OPTIONS.h).
