[MITgcm-devel] Pretty plots for cubed sphere

Inspired by Dimitris' movies, I checked in some scripts to do something
similar:

  >> xg=rdmds('XG');
  >> yg=rdmds('YG');
  >> eta=rdmds('ETAN',Inf);
  >> etopo2cube
  >> fancycube(xg,yg,sq(eta),max(0,min(5000,H)),0.05/5000);axis off;
  >> [az,el]=view(-20,20)
  >> print -djpeg100 q.jpg

etopo2cube is a cheap hack to get etopo5 orography on the cubed sphere

It's straight forward to make movies from here on.

Anyone know of a decent data set for land color (rather than elevation)?

A.
