[MITgcm-devel] optfile at NAS

Dimitris, Chris,

I'd like to change the optfile linux_ia64_ifort+mpi_altix_nas
for columbia.
I'd prefer to use the ifort8 built-in options
"-convert big_endian -assume byterecl"
together with "-DWORDLENGTH=4"
rather than the model switches "-D_BYTESWAPIO -DWORDLENGTH=1"
The former also treats sequential binary I/O (control/gradient vector).
I've been using it for a while and it works fine.

If no protest, I'll check in tomorrow.
