Hi Baylor,

Are you sure that you checked out that copy of MITgcm using the cvs-
over-ssh method:

  CVSROOT=:ext:mitgcm.org:/u/gcmpack

and not the cvs-over-pserver method?  You can check by looking at:

  more MITgcm/pkg/mom_vecinv/CVS/Root

which should return a string starting with ":ext:" and not
":pserver:".  

And if you did use pserver, the quickest thing to do is to check out a
second whole copy of MITgcm using CVS-with-ssh and then just copy over
your modified files and check them in.

I also looked at the permissions of /u/gcmpack/MITgcm/pkg/mom_vecinv and
everything there seems to be in order.
