The cachesize:512000 (should actually be 524288 if we're talking of a P4 with 
512Kb of L2 cache) should be innocuous. The transform part is actually quite 
a more involved option, as it instructs the compiler to go ahead and try 
complicated loop transformations (like LNO in IRIX systems or qhot in IBM 
ones). That might be the one breaking the compilation.
