Hi,
just for the record. I noticed, that exp5 blows up after 23 timesteps 
(nTimeSteps=10 for testing). I haven't had time to look into this, and 
won't have the change this week (our network is basically down for the 
next three days, arrgh), but it doesn't have anything to do with my 
recent changes to calc_gw.F, it also blows up with calc_gw.F revision 
1.13 (before my changes) and there are no lateral boundaries in this 
experiment, anyway.
