My vote is: "Yes -- after I undo the mnc default setting."

Alistair added mnc to the default list of packages and that broke a lot
of systems that don't have NetCDF installed as you can see at:

  http://mitgcm.org/testing.html

I'm too busy right now with Dimitris' cube data to spend my time either
installing NetCDF on a half-dozen systems or mucking about with genmake2
so that mnc is automatically turned off when the NetCDF headers and
libraries can't be found.

So *please*, lets revert this default for now and put it on a to-do
list.
