Chris, what does i-1 and j-1 in comments below mean?
Aren't uFlux and vFlux at the U/V points, i.e.,
the West/South faces of each cell?
C uFluxtave :: zonal surface wind stress (N/m^2,
C >0 for increase in uVel, i=1 held at western face)
C vFluxtave :: meridional surface wind stress (N/m^2,
C >0 for increase in vVel, j=1 held at southern face)
Also, I recently had a look at output code for John. The two fields
below are also computed on the U and V points, respectively.
C UUtave :: uVel * uVel (used to compute the averaged KE)
C VVtave :: vVel * vVel (used to compute the averaged KE)
Do you also want pkg/* tave definitions? For the hi-res cube, that
would include pkg/kpp and pkg/seaice.
D.
