Ed's email about the repository move was dated 3/18 13:44

The last entry in /usr/local/gcmpack-adcroft/CVSROOT/history is
  manual/part6/exch2.tex,v  that corresponds to 3/18 09:56
The history files are consistent between the repositories up until that
point - both appear corrupted (try cvs history).

I agree that I got a CVS email about JMC deleting phy_suflux.F and it is not
in the history file of either repository. The more recent deletion is. The
file itself has been properly moved to the Attic directory but a duplicate
of an older version has been put in place in pkg/aim_v23/. It looks to me as
if someone has unpacked a backup of the repository on top of itself...

I'm out of the loop now see ya'll in a few weeks.
