Tom,

that does indeed sound worrying, I haven't heard about this issue.
I have been switching between SGI, IBM, and Beowulf,
and can't remember having seen this kind of thing.
Are you using identical parameters in your 'data' file
(e.g. parameter hFacMin, hFacMindr)?
