If you haven't checked anything at this point then making a tag now should
make you updates cleaner not more complicated...

I agree with everything *except* the tag.  I'm right in the middle of doing
the C "stubs" interface for MNC and this is a bad time to (for me) to create
a tag since it needs some work.

How about 24hrs from now?
