Hi Baylor,

We're still sorting out the flags that determine whether I/O is handled
by MNC or MDSIO (or both).  For the near term you will see some output
redundancy (eg. the grid info) but I hope that its just a temporary
situation.

As I understand it, the items on this list are:

 1) finish creating (and documenting with defaults!) flags so
    that all I/O can use either MDSIO, MNC, or (in some 
    situations) both

 2) add some code so that we can use MNC to read inputs such 
    as bathymetry, winds, etc.

 3) add interpolation to MNC so that various files can be used
    irrespective of the particular domain size and grid
