Just to add my comments to the beloved cal package.
o yes, single quotes are all over the place
o yes, the CPP flag '-traditional' takes care of these
o yes, not all CPP support this flag, but those that
don't usually don't exhibit this problem
o I haven't come a single platform yet where this
issue was a show stopper.
