[MITgcm-devel] what's wrong with mitgcm.org?

Starting yesterday, I have been having a hard time connecting to 
anything related to the MITgcm:
http://mitgcm.org is very slow to not responsive at all and when I try 
to access the MITgcm repository via CVS I get this (on an AWI-machine):
> csysm3::head> hostname
> csysm3.AWI-Bremerhaven.DE
> csysm3::head> cvs -qn update
> ssh: connect to host mitgcm.org port 22: Operation timed out
> cvs [update aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages 
> if any)

or this (on an MIT-machine):
> sea::current> hostname -a
> sea.mit.edu
> sea::current> cvs -qn update
> ssh: connect to address 128.31.2.31 port 22: Connection timed out
