Hi Martin, in pkg/kpp/kpp_check.F there are examples both for runtime
(convection is off) and for CPP checks (SHORTWAVE_HEATING is on).

P.S. I am really interested at deep water formation parameterizations,
in particular if there is a way to realistically represent shelf processes
around Antarctica. As a first test, I'd like to try to reproduce as well as
is possible the observed CFC concentrations using the 32x32x6 cube.
I have already tried this exercise with 4x4 global configuration and
Antarctic Bottom Water formation was a big problem.
