Description: From Patrick and Chris.
Revising genmake functionality needs to include making AD related options part of genmake. Currently the make process for AD and TLM involves hand editing package options in a template make file. This should become automated within genmake with appropriate user configurable options (in .genmakerc or its equivalent). A -taf_ad flag similar to the -mpi flag could be one way to indicate that an TAF/AD,TLM style of makefile is needed.

This needs to also address incorporating AD and TLM aspects into the auotmated testing procedures.
